What is happening to us when we look around? What do we see?
What makes us different from what we were a moment ago? Is it all about our experience? Or is it about the infinite lack of knowledge about ourselves?
I have long been searching for an ideal definition for human existence. At a certain moment, I believed that Andrei Tarkovsky’s “Stalker” or, to be precise, a fragment from t present this film could present us with an answer.
Taken out of context, video snapshots are an attempt to freeze time by adding volume to the plan image and by transforming it from the state of motion to a different dimension.
The only thing that remain unchanged is a panorama , a simple landscape, a View Point.
Perhaps, it is this given simplicity that makes the viewer change.
