The Heroes series began as a tribute to the academic tradition during my studies. But over time, I came to see these sketches as a way to stay connected with the great artists of the past, who remain relevant today because they were always ahead of their time. Now I see that the boundary between past and present is fragile and imprecise.
That is why, for me, the human body becomes a foundation - a tuning fork around wich all events unfold. And since these events are quite dramatic, my Heroes carry this impulse within them.
